HICAPS- PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE CLAIMING
Clients with private health insurance cover with extras can access a rebate from their provider. Rebates will vary according to the fund and type of cover. To find out how much you are entitled to, please contact your Private Health Insurance provider.
After the consultation, your health fund card is simply swiped through the HICAPS terminal at the reception desk. Your claim details are entered and in seconds the whole transaction is processed.
Once your claim is authorised, you simply pay the gap amount - the difference between the full fee for the treatment and the amount claimed from your health fund.
For more information on participating health funds please go to www.hicaps.com.au
MEDICARE EPC REFERRALS
Clients may be eligible for a Medicare rebate under the Medicare Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) program if they are referred by their general practitioner.
With the correct paperwork eligible clients can claim a rebate for a maximum of 5 services per calendar year (January to Decemeber).
Clients will be asked to pay our standard consultation fees at the time of appointment. We will then electronically submit their Medicare claim for the rebate which will be reimbursed into the patient’s nominated bank account the same day. The current Medicare rebate is $53.80.
From time to time, there are difficulties with the Medicare rebate being processed. Please contact us if this occurs and we will assist in any way we can. Most often in this case, you will be required to present to Medicare office to resolve the matter.
For more information regarding Medicare EPC referrals please go to www.humanservices.gov.au or call 132 011.
